Primary responsibility:

  • Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately. All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor in charge during their shift.

  • Full cycle recruitment; filling of both internal and external vacancies, and managing a seasonal workforce to attract and find the best talent. This will include onboarding of all new team members, and facilitating new hire orientation
  • Utilize temporary staffing when needed
  • Provide various types of training to both salaried and hourly employees to help build employee capability
  • Respond and provide current and prospective employees with information regarding policies, practices, procedures, wage, and benefits information
  • Assist management and employees in resolving conflicts, work-related questions or issues in an effort to maintain positive employee relations and a union-free environment
  • Performance and Reward Management with all levels of employees
  • Champion various employee engagement activities through employee relations activities, support of local community events and seasonal kick-off activities to reinforce positive employee relations
  • Establish, maintain, and improve communication with all operations employees
  • Serve on the leadership team as the operations HR representative
  • Make recommendations for improvements to processes, policies, and procedures
  • Support and promote the safety and health of all employees
  • Supervise and provide feedback to one direct report
  • When needed; enter timekeeping, time off, and other data in the HRIS system
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance, consistent punctuality, and a conscientious attitude at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
